How to Calculate Cubic Feet

To calculate cubic feet, enter the greatest height, width and length of the item in inches divided by 1,728

    • Use the following formula.  (L x W x H)/1728 = sellable unit cubic feet.
      • L= Length in inches
      • W= Width in inches
      • H= Height in inches
      • 1,728 = number of cubic inches in a cubic foot.  Factor is used to convert into cubic feet.
    • Receiving cubic feet will be calculated using the item cubic ft. calculation multiplied by the quantity received.
    • Please note that receiving cubic feet calculated by this method may be different from that of the carton cube or pallet cube

Note:

  • A SKU is not a unit. A SKU is unique identifier for a part #, item #, ASIN, or product ID.
  • Cube calculations are based on item cube used to calculate storage cube.
